Why I Hate the Raiders in a Nutshell
That much I know you’re aware of. I do want to make it clear however, that this is not some blind hatred of an uneducated fanatic. I’m not the Red Sox fan who simply says “Yankees Suck” while they win 90-105 games each year. I also am not Johnny Hate Lately. The Raiders are an easy franchise to kick right now. I became a football fan in 1986 and have hated the Raiders from Day One. Raiders fans will probably not be surprised to learn I am a fan of the Denver Broncos. Yes all Broncos fans hate the Raiders so I am like a needle in a stack of needles and what makes my lowly opinion any more worth putting on paper than the next guys. My hatred for the Raiders is not only a long and brewing one, but a studied one. My hatred begins with the fans. This is a somewhat personal hate. I grew up with two uncles who were die-hard Raider fans. I would constantly have to listen to how great the Raiders were in the 70’s with Madden. I wasn’t alive so why would they think I would care? Or, I could be treated to an afternoon of them extolling the virtues of Marcus Allen and Bo Jackson. Again, I am not stupid so I will point out that Marcus Allen is a rightful Hall of Famer and Bo Jackson kicked ass in Tecmo Bowl, but together they never won a Super Bowl. I guess that was the most frustrating thing. Not just my uncles but Raiders fans all over, and there were plenty more then than there are now, could not stop talking trash. As a Broncos fan I quickly came to understand how uncreative or unintelligent the Raiders fans were the one-millionth time they called Elway horse-face. That’s where the ridiculousness of Raider Fan lies. While they talked trash about there team a generation ago the Broncos became the only AFC West team that mattered. From 86 to 07 the Broncos played in 6 AFC Title Games and 5 Super Bowls, winning two championships. The rest of the division played in 3 AFC Title Games. To their credit, they won twice. To their discredit, they were destroyed in both Super Bowls. Yeah, the Broncos took some lumps but we got ours. How’s it working out for the others? Chiefs Fan and Chargers Fan are excused though. Chiefs fans are a good wholesome group who expect and accept failure in the end. Chargers Fan doesn’t exist except for those 2 years of every decade when they matter. But Raiders Fan just kept on talking. Right up until 2002. The Raiders finally got back to the Super Bowl and didn’t you just love all the Raiders fans who came out of the gutters then, with both their teeth shining yellow in the sun and either Go and/or Raiders misspelled across their bulbous bodies. Even after having their asses handed to them, they just knew it was the beginning of a new era in Oakland or LA or Saskatoon it didn’t matter the Silver and Black was back, BABY. Their record since then is 19-61. The reasons aren’t conspiracies, luck, injuries or tuck rules but rather short-sightedness and poor decision making by a senile old man, but that’s another rant. Gow Raiters. They Just Suck, Baby.

Maybe you can answer this question: What the hell happened to the fans in Denver? I grew up in Denver and lived there until I was 25. It’s my hometown. I have to been to more than my fair share of Broncos games. That said I totally understand where you are coming from when it comes to the Raiders. No one else does though. I live in Florida now and people look at me funny when I mention how much I hate the goddamn Raiders and their sorry-ass fans.
But, going to as many games as I did, never did I see so many fans of the opposing team acting so obnoxious and in such great numbers. It’s ridiculous. I had to check my eyes this season when it looked like the game was in Pittsburgh or Green Bay with all the opposing fans in the stadium.
That shit would have never happened in my day. I remember Raider fans getting the crap beat out of them only to be followed by the Chiefs fans getting the crap beat out of them. South stands, man! Ring a bell? There weren’t any idiotic terrible towels in the south stands. You don’t see any broncos fans acting like an ass when we play in Oakland so why do they get away with it at “Invesco”?
And I know Denver has it’s share of retard Fader fans but they always got beat up, arrested, beer thrown at them and laughed at. So I ask you: what’s the deal??
The same goes for the Avs. Die hard Avs fan here. I nearly had a heart attack seeing so many wings fans at the arena. What the hell? Has Denver gone soft?? Those clowns threw an octopus on the ice…in Denver?? Dude, I would so have gotten arrested that night, trust me. I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to throw a beer at someone.

Broken forum
There are several reasons for the perceived drop in passion of broncos fans. The new stadium is the biggest reason. There are no south stands. Ticket prices went up and more corporate seats were put in. This resulted in the less wealthy and thus often more passionate football fans being left out of Invesco. Those of us who can’t afford the finer things appreciate sports far more. The team is also not as good. This leads to season ticket fans being more eager to sell their seats for some games. Like the Broncos there are Steeler and Packer fans everywhere and both teams were good and played us in primetime so naturally their fans came out. I still believe Broncos fans are amongst the best in sports and am glad that they stay away from being dirty fans and instead simply show their appreciation to the team.

I am a hard core Denver Broncos fan and I live in California so I know my fair share about Raiders fans. Though I have met many wholesome nice people who like the Raiders, (One of my best friends is a Raiders fan.) They always think they are the nest. This year I already have 5 bets that the Raiders won’t win the the AFC West. But nope. They know that they will and I will make a nice profit when they don’t. Raiders fans are just obnoxious. Sorry. Those are the facts guys.
I think you are right about the Chiefs. they are a great group of guys and I respect the Chiefs more than most NFL teams. I have hated th Chargers since last years Christmas Eve and the whole Phillip Rivers incident.
Go BRONCOS!!!!

I know why passion for the broncos have drop. Its because all the bandwagoners have stop coming because the broncos have been a average team. The raiders don’t have to wrry about because we have loyal fans.

The Raiders don’t have to worry because the Raiders have sucked for a long, long, looooong time.

Nice to see that Raider fans still have difficulty making complete sentences and using simple punctuation. I’d give you guys kudos on getting your GED but everyone knows Raider fans are too stupid to complete even the most basic levels of education.
I’m glad that you have “passion fans”. And that you guys are “passioned”. I was starting to you might not know what those words mean. What are you trying to tell us; that you make out with each other in the parking lot after games?
And let’s see…loyalty…Hmmm…how many times have the Faders moved locations because they couldn’t sell tickets? Hmmm…?
Listen, Mcfly, ever since super bowl XXXVII (where your sorry team was embarrassed by its former coach) the Faders have lost the last 5 seasons in a row. Pretty shitty by anyone’s standards.
Go dress up like Darth Vader and wait quietly for “Uncle Al” to move you guys back to LA. Again. Lol.

Broken Forum hit the nail on the head..the broncos never left denver. We’ve also sold out home games for about 25 straight years, that sounds like loyalty to me. How can a guy from Oakland put down 40 year old overweight men anyway? I’ve seen Raiders Fans, if Broken Forum is 40 at least he’s not painted up to look like a dead pirate. By the way, I’m not even 30 yet but the Yuengling has definately got me looking overweight.

Reading these posts make me think Raiders fans are really bitter about something. I am a Niners fan… if you say they suck right now i would agree. I would have points on why they are getting better or could be getting better. But pretty much since Young left our organization has been looking for its identity, with a couple decent playoff years that amounted to little. i’m trying to think the last time the Raiders were good… can’t. If you want me to count the senior citizen team that made it a couple of years ago that’s fine, but that’s when the AFC was just gaining strength and obviously the NFC was better by far.
I agree with Raider Hater… why can’t you guys just admit it… Raiders just suck baby!!! No need to be bitter and angry about it, grow up and man up, gather your sac and admit it.

THey are bitter because the raiders have been an ebarrasment to the nfl the last 5 years.
